Anaheim, California, a vibrant metropolis boasting a population exceeding 350,000 residents, serves as the distinguished home of the globally renowned Disneyland Resort and two prominent professional sports franchises. Given the substantial influx of tourists and visitors it welcomes annually, estimated at nearly 25 million people, the city faces a persistent and pressing demand for sophisticated traffic mitigation strategies and advanced Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) solutions. For over half a decade, our dedicated team has provided maintenance services on an as-needed-basis to supplement the city's in house team of technicians. The city's Traffic and Transportation Division meticulously oversees a vast array of traffic signal and ITS equipment. This comprehensive infrastructure encompasses 305 traffic signals, their intricate supporting communications systems, and an array of dynamic changeable message signs, all of which are vital to maintaining efficient traffic flow.
Beyond our support for traffic signals, our team also furnishes on-call support and maintenance augmentation for Anaheim's streetlights. The City has been very progressive in its transition towards more energy-efficient illumination. This initiative has seen the successful conversion of approximately 22,000 streetlights from older, less efficient high-pressure sodium (HPS) technology to cutting-edge Light Emitting Diode (LED) systems, marking a substantial stride in sustainability. As a trusted and integral partner in bolstering the city's critical transportation infrastructure, our team has also been able to provide the City additional supplementary tasks on an as-needed basis.
