The City of Sacramento California is not only the state capital, but it also represents the largest transportation jurisdiction in the region. The City’s transportation system plays an integral role in facilitating the movement of people and goods through the City and in the state. While the city has witnessed tremendous growth, it has placed more pressure on the transportation system to leverage technology and data solutions. The city however is plagued with aging infrastructure creating a high demand for planned maintenance around Traffic Signals and intersection safety equipment.
Our team is on-call with the city 24/7/365 to support its more than 807 traffic signals, 200 miles of broadband fiber optic traffic communication infrastructure, advanced traffic signal controllers, cameras, and streetlights. All of the cities Transportation Infrastructure programs are underpinned by its Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) master plan. The ITS master plan evaluates the City’s current and future ITS needs with a focus on effective investments in transportation to improve system safety, performance, and sustainability.
